Getting started with Sage
  • Install the desktop connector

    Download the Sage Connector onto the same computer that is running sage from https://app.magic5software.com/magic5Sage50ConnectorSetup_Sage2018.exe.  Follow your browser's instructions and the connector will be installed on your computer.

  • Open the connector


    Log in using the username and password entered at registration (refer to the email sent to the username address) or create a new system if you have not yet got one.

  • Start export from Sage to magic5

     
    Click on Export customers and products.  The first time will always be a full export so there is no need to tick the box.     

  • Connect to Sage

    Enter your Sage login details.  Sage will create the following error message - it is safe to click Yes.


    A progress bar will show what is being exported and a further message will show when all is complete    

  • View imported Sage items in magic5

    There is no need to look in the magic5 office portal, but if you did you might see the following screens.
      

  • Receive Updates on all devices

    Users will need to tap the Receive Updates menu option on their device to update the Customer and Product lists.

  • Fill out forms on the device

    Continue working with magic5 as usual. Some changes will have been made to your templates by your technical team (see Collecting Sage details in magic5).

  • View reports in the office portal

    Review the reports in the office portal and, when ready to invoice, send them for invoicing

  • Create invoices in Sage

    Return to the Sage connector and click Create invoices


    A progress bar will show what is happening and the invoice numbers of the new invoices will be shown.
